The Elevated Tap Company (ETC) was founded in 2021 by Erica Phillips during the world pandemic of COVID-19 with the vision to share her passion for Tap Dance with the wider community. Erica is a happily married, mum of two. Erica has been very lucky to have had the opportunity to work in a variety of creative roles over the past 26 years and now works full time as a Teaching Assistant in the SEN department at our local secondary school alongside being a part of the Tap Faculty at Mainstage Performing Arts in Wimborne, where she teaches ISTD graded and vocational Tap syllabus classes and running non-syllabus classes Tap Classes at Shaftesbury Arts Centre.

IDO WORLD TAP CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025

This year Erica and two of her Mainstage Performing Arts student Jude and Nell Feltham have been selected to represent Great Britain in Prague at the IDO World Tap Dance Championships in October 2025 as part of Tap Attack Team GB.
Erica will be competing in Adult 2 Category with a Small Group.
Nell will be competing in Junior Category with a Duo, Small Group and Formation.
Jude will be competing in Adult 1 Category with a Male Solo and Trio.

TAP ATTACK INTENSIVE 2025
This August Erica has attended the Tap Attack Intensive with 3 of her Mainstage Performing Art’s Students – Jude Feltham, Roxie Yates and Nell Feltham. Tap Attack provide an incredible array of opportunities for all age ranges of tap dancers and teachers. Their summer intensive is one of Erica’s yearly high lights learning from the industries best.
